Precision Lift

Total Control.
Restored.

A leaking trim system does more than stain your driveway; it kills your performance. We rebuild hydraulic rams with industrial-grade seals, restoring the lifting power you need to plane out and trailer confidently.

Seized Cap Removal

The hardest part of the job. Saltwater fuses aluminum caps to the cylinder. We use specialized pin wrenches and controlled heat induction to remove them without destroying the expensive housing.

Internal Resealing

We don't just fix the external leak. We disassemble the piston assembly and replace the internal bypass seals. This fixes "leak down," where the engine slowly sinks while parked.

Rod Polishing

A rough ram shaft will tear new seals in minutes. We micro-polish the stainless steel rams to remove pits and scratches, ensuring the new wiper seals glide smoothly and seal perfectly.

The Rebuild Process.

Don't replace. Rebuild.

01

Extraction

We carefully remove the rams from the transom brackets. This often involves driving out seized stainless steel pins that have merged with the aluminum housing.

02

Bench Service

We clamp the unit in a soft-jaw vise. Using a specialized spanner tool (not a pipe wrench!), we unscrew the gland caps and extract the piston assembly.

03

Seal & Polish

We replace the wiper seal, O-rings, and backup rings with high-quality urethane components. We polish the rod on a lathe to a mirror finish.

04

Bleed & Test

After reinstallation, we fill the system with the correct marine hydraulic fluid and bleed the air. We load-test the trim to ensure it holds position without creeping.

Power Restored.

A leak-free transom.

Common Questions

Why does my engine drop down overnight?

This is called "leak down." It's rarely an external leak. Usually, the internal check valve or piston o-ring has failed, allowing fluid to bypass the piston. A rebuild fixes this.

Can I just add fluid?

Adding fluid is a temporary band-aid. If fluid is getting out, water is getting in. Water in the hydraulic system will rust the pump and motor, leading to a much more expensive failure.
