The 100-Hour Service
Or once a year, whichever comes first. Most engine makers list it in their maintenance schedule, and a warranty claim can ask for proof it was done. Even an engine that barely ran this season needs it: oil collects moisture, and a saltwater impeller can take a set and turn brittle.
01 Scan
We connect our diagnostic tool to check engine hours and scan for stored fault codes, then inspect the belts, hoses and electrical connections before we begin.
02 Drain
Old fluids come out while the engine is warm, so contaminants leave the sump. We drain the lower unit gear lube or transmission fluid and check it for metal shavings or water.
03 Replace
New oil filters, Racor fuel separators, water pump impeller and zinc anodes, with OEM-specified products. The impeller is the engine's lifeline in saltwater.
04 Test
We run the engine to verify oil pressure, cooling temperature and check for leaks. You get detailed receipts for your warranty records.

Labor is $150 an hour, plus a trip fee for work at your boat, from $30 in San Pedro; none at our shop. Each service shows how long it usually takes, and you get a written estimate before any work.
Engines, drives, electronics, hulls and interiors. Your boat stays in its slip while we work.
New · Boat care plans
Checkups at your slip monthly, every 3 or 6 months, or once a year. A photo report after every visit, and members pay less for repair labor.
Prices are for boats up to 30 ft with one engine. Every plan starts with a full inspection of your boat, from $1,500, and the repairs it finds that cannot wait.
