Heavy Lifting Included
Boat batteries (8D, 4D, Group 31) are heavy and often hidden in tight, awkward bilges. We do the hard work of extracting the old lead-acid cores and installing fresh, high-capacity replacements.
Smart Charging
Old "ferro-resonant" chargers boil batteries dry. We install modern 3-stage smart chargers (ProMariner, Mastervolt, Victron) that condition your batteries, extending their lifespan by years.
Parasitic Draw Test
Why did your battery die? Replacing it won't fix the problem if a bilge pump or stereo is draining it silently. We test for parasitic loads and faulty alternators to fix the root cause.

Load Testing
We apply a heavy resistance load to your existing batteries. If voltage collapses immediately, we know the internal plates are sulfated or shorted.
Alternator Output
We run the engines and measure the output at the battery posts. If we don't see 13.6V–14.4V, your alternator or regulator needs repair.
Terminal Hygiene
Corrosion adds resistance. We wire-brush every cable lug until it shines, apply dielectric grease, and replace wing nuts with stainless nyloc nuts for a solid connection.
Isolation Check
We ensure your Start Bank is isolated from your House Bank via VSRs (Voltage Sensitive Relays) so you never drain your starting power while running the stereo.

Common Questions
How long should marine batteries last?
Typically 3-5 years with proper maintenance. However, deep discharging (below 50%) or leaving them dead for weeks can kill them in a single season.
Can I mix old and new batteries?
Never. The old battery will drag the new one down to its level, shortening its life significantly. Always replace the entire bank at once.
When Is It Time for a Boat Battery Replacement?
A boat battery rarely fails without warning. Slow cranking, lights that dim when the bilge pump starts, a battery that will not hold a charge overnight, or a swollen case and heavy corrosion on the terminals are all signs that the bank is getting tired. Age matters too: with proper maintenance, marine batteries typically last 3-5 years.
Before any boat battery replacement, we load test the existing batteries, check alternator output and look for parasitic draws, so a new battery is not drained by the same hidden fault. When replacement is the right call, we help you choose between AGM, Gel and flooded lead acid, and we replace the entire bank at once so old and new batteries are never mixed. It helps if you can tell us the battery size (for example 8D, 4D or Group 31), how the boat is used and how long it sits between trips.
