Common Questions
Why can't I use my stock alternator?
Stock alternators are designed to top off starter batteries, not bulk charge large lithium banks. They lack temperature protection and will burn themselves out.
Do I really need a serpentine belt?
If you go above 100 amps, yes. A single V-belt will slip, squeal, and wear out rapidly under the load of a high-output alternator.
