Steer With
Fingertip Precision.

If your steering feels "spongy," difficult to turn, or clicks during operation, you likely have air or contaminated fluid in your system. We perform professional power purges to restore factory smoothness.

Fluid Flush

Over time, hydraulic fluid absorbs water and turns into a thick sludge that creates resistance. We completely flush the old fluid and replace it with fresh, ISO-grade marine hydraulic oil.

Air Power Purge

Air bubbles are compressible, causing "spongy" steering where the wheel turns but the engine doesn't. We use a professional Power Purge system to cycle fluid and remove 100% of the trapped air.

Seal Inspection

Leaking fluid means air is getting in. We inspect the helm pump (behind the wheel) and the steering ram (at the engine) for weeping wiper seals and replace them if necessary.

The Purge Process.

From stiff to smooth in 4 steps.

01

System Audit

We check the helm pump and cylinder for leaks. If the system is leaking, purging is useless until the seals are replaced.

02

Power Connect

We connect our automated purge machine to the helm fill port and the bleed fittings on the engine cylinder, creating a closed loop.

03

Cycle & Flush

We pump fresh fluid through the lines while simultaneously vacuuming out the old fluid and air bubbles. We cycle the steering lock-to-lock to dislodge trapped air.

04

Pressure Check

Once filled, we pressure test the system to ensure the steering is responsive, firm, and leak-free.

Common Questions

Why does my steering click?

A clicking noise or a "lumpy" feeling usually means the fluid level is low, allowing the helm pump pistons to suck air. It requires filling and purging immediately.

Can I use ATF (Transmission Fluid)?

Only in emergencies and ONLY if your specific manual says so. Most modern systems require Mil-Spec HA5430 fluid (Gold/Clear). Mixing fluids can cause seals to swell and fail.
