How long does throttle and shift cable replacement take?

The labor is usually 2-4 hours. The exact time depends on cable length, routing and the engine, and long or tight runs or dual stations take longer. We test the controls with the engine running before we hand the boat back.

Do you recommend replacing both throttle and shift cables at the same time?

Usually, yes. If one cable has failed, the other is often close behind, since both have the same age and exposure. Replacing both at once shares the access work, which saves labor, and gives the controls an even feel.

Do you offer warranty on throttle and shift cable replacement?

Yes. Our workmanship is warranted for 90 days from the invoice date, and replacement cables carry their manufacturer's warranty. Your invoice lists the work and the parts for your records.
