The Lost Art

Precision Tuning.
Smooth Idle.

Modern ethanol fuel is the enemy of vintage engines. It gums up jets and hardens gaskets, causing rough idling and stalling. We use laboratory-grade ultrasonic cleaning to restore your carburetor to factory performance.

Ultrasonic Cleaning

Spraying cleaner down the throat isn't enough. We disassemble the carburetor and submerge the body in a heated ultrasonic bath. High-frequency sound waves blast varnish and deposits out of microscopic internal passages.

Precision Tuning

A clean carb is useless if it isn't tuned. We set the float levels to the millimeter, adjust the air/fuel mixture screws for a smooth idle, and synchronize the choke for reliable cold starts.

Ethanol Defense

We rebuild using modern, ethanol-resistant gaskets, needle valves, and accelerator pumps. This ensures your rebuilt carburetor can handle E10 fuel without failing prematurely.

The Rebuild Lab.

A meticulous 4-step process.

01

Disassembly

We remove the carb and strip it down to the casting. We inspect the throttle shafts for wear (a common cause of vacuum leaks).

02

The Bath

The metal body spends hours in our industrial ultrasonic cleaner with specialized detergent, removing decades of varnish and carbon buildup.

03

Reassembly

We reassemble with a premium marine rebuild kit, installing new jets, power valves, and floats. Every screw is torqued to spec.

04

Sea Trial

We install the carb and perform a final "on-water" adjustment under load to ensure smooth acceleration without hesitation.

Common Questions

Why is my boat stalling at idle?

This is usually a clogged "idle circuit." Tiny jets get blocked by varnish. No amount of adjustment will fix it; the physical blockage must be removed via cleaning.

Should I buy a "Reman" or rebuild mine?

We prefer rebuilding your original. "Remanufactured" carbs are often mass-produced with generic settings that never run quite right on your specific engine.
