Marine HVAC Descaling & Acid Flushing
Restore the Chill.
Clear the Flow.
If your AC keeps shutting down with a "High Pressure Fault," your cooling coils are likely choked with sea life. We perform chemical acid flushing to dissolve the blockage and restore freezing cold air.
The "HPF" Error
"High Pressure Fault." It means your compressor is overheating because it can't get enough seawater to cool down. This isn't a broken AC—it's just a dirty one.
Barnacle Busterâ„¢
We circulate a specialized, biodegradable acidic solution through your AC lines. It safely dissolves barnacles, mussels, and calcium buildup inside the coils without harming the copper.
Instant Efficiency
Once the sludge is flushed out, water flow returns to full volume. The compressor runs cooler, quieter, and the air coming out of your vents drops by 15-20 degrees immediately.
The Flush Protocol.
Circulating success through your system.
Isolate
We close the seacock and disconnect the raw water hoses from your AC pump and the overboard discharge.
Circulate
We connect our portable circulation pump and run the descaling fluid through the system loop for 1-2 hours.
Monitor
We watch the return lines. At first, the fluid turns black/brown as it eats the blockage. We flush until it runs clear.
Strain & Flow
We clean the sea strainer basket, reconnect all hoses, prime the pump, and verify a strong stream of discharge water.
Cool & Quiet.
Prevent compressor failure before it starts.
Systems Serviced.
We handle all major water-cooled marine HVAC brands.
Common Questions
Why is no water coming out?
This is "loss of prime" or a total blockage. If the pump is running but no water exits the boat, turn it off immediately to save the pump head, and call us.
How often should I flush?
In warm, high-growth waters like Long Beach, we recommend a descaling flush every 2 years to keep the system running at peak efficiency.
