About this service

Yacht managers keep many boats ready for owners who are often far away. Our yacht management maintenance service gives you an independent mechanic team in Long Beach and San Pedro for the hands-on work on the yachts you manage: yacht maintenance services such as scheduled service, systems checks and repairs, reported back to you in a form you can pass on to the owner. We work as a maintenance partner for yacht management companies, for captains and for owners' representatives who need yacht maintenance in Long Beach and San Pedro.

Who this is for

  • Yacht management companies that need dependable hands for engine, electrical and systems work across several boats.
  • Captains who run a yacht for an owner and want a mechanic team that follows their maintenance plan.
  • Owners' representatives and owners who live away and need someone to check and service the boat while they are not there.

What we take care of

  • Scheduled maintenance: engine and generator service on the manufacturer's intervals, cooling and fuel systems, belts and impellers, and the 100-hour and annual engine service.
  • Systems checks between trips: batteries and chargers, bilge pumps and float switches, and an engine run-up like our Monthly Captain's Check.
  • Repairs: diagnostics and repairs on engines, electrical systems, steering, pumps and onboard systems, done at the slip when the job allows.
  • Seasonal work: winterization and spring commissioning timed around the owner's plans.

How we work with yacht managers

Your maintenance plan, our hands

You keep control of the plan. We work from your maintenance list, or help you build one from the engine and equipment makers' intervals and the boat's history.

Quotes go to the person you name

Every repair is quoted in writing before work starts, and the quote goes to the manager or captain who holds the owner's authorization. Nothing is done without that approval.

Reports you can forward to the owner

After each visit you get a short written summary with photos, a photo report you can forward as it is: what was checked, what was found and what should be planned next. The service history of each yacht stays in one place, which helps with insurance, warranty claims and resale.

Access and scheduling

We agree with you how we get on board (keys, gate access and marina check-in) and plan visits around the owner's trips and charters, so service does not get in the way of time on the water.

Contract terms

Terms are agreed per yacht or per group of yachts: which services, how often, how repairs are approved and how invoices are sent. Every agreement is quoted individually. As an independent service we are not tied to one engine brand. Our workmanship is warranted for 90 days from the invoice date; parts carry their manufacturer's warranty.

Questions from yacht managers

Can you work with the yacht's captain?

Yes. Many visits are planned with the captain, who knows the boat best; who approves what is set in the agreement.

Do you work on yachts outside Long Beach and San Pedro?

Our base is San Pedro and we work at slips in Long Beach and San Pedro. Yachts at other harbors from Marina del Rey to Newport Beach are planned on request.

Talk to us about the yachts you manage: use the contact form or call (213) 693-0224.
