Boat Repair in Long Beach and San Pedro

We repair boats at your slip, dock or storage yard from Marina del Rey to Newport Beach, or at our San Pedro shop. Breeze Marine Boat Service works on Mercury, MerCruiser, Yamaha, Volvo Penta, Indmar, Yanmar and Cummins engines.

What the work covers

Boat repair here runs from a single faulty switch to major engine work. Start with the area closest to your problem:

  • Engines and fuel: marine engine repair, hard starting, overheating, carburetors, fuel injectors, fuel pumps, ignition and exhaust manifolds.
  • Electrical: marine electrical repair, batteries and charging, starters, alternators, shore power and electronics.
  • Drive and steering: outdrive repair, transmissions, propellers, shift and throttle cables, and cable or hydraulic steering.
  • Onboard systems: generators, water pumps, bilge pumps, marine toilets and air conditioning.
  • Hull and finish: cosmetic fiberglass repair and gelcoat, paint repair and teak; structural hull work goes to a boatyard.
  • Trailers and inspections: trailer bearings, lights and bunks, and pre-purchase inspections.
  • Insurance: after a collision or storm, we document the damage with photos, give you a written estimate to send to your insurer and do the repair once you approve it; the claim stays between you and your insurer. See insurance repair estimates.

Parts come with the repair and are quoted with the job.

When to call

  • The engine cranks but will not start, or does not crank at all
  • The temperature gauge climbs or an overheat alarm sounds
  • The bilge pump runs more often than it used to
  • Shifting feels stiff, or the boat clunks into gear
  • The steering feels stiff or loose, or leaks fluid
  • Cracks, chips or soft spots show up in the hull or deck

Questions about boat repair

Do you come to the boat?

Yes. We work at your slip, dock or storage yard from Marina del Rey to Newport Beach. If a job is better done at our San Pedro shop, we agree that with you before work starts.

What happens if you find more work?

We quote any repair we find during a check before any work is done, so you decide what goes ahead.

Book a visit: submit a ticket with the boat, where it is kept and what you are seeing, or call (562) 542-7296.
