About this service

The Glass Helm Experience

Navigate with
Absolute Clarity.

Transform your helm into a modern command center. We install high-definition Multi-Function Displays (MFDs), Radar, and Autopilots that work together, with the controls at your fingertips.

Chartplotter & GPS

Our chartplotter installation covers the latest touchscreen units from Garmin, Simrad, and Raymarine. Get detailed bathymetry, auto-routing guidance, and crystal-clear maps that make navigating the harbor effortless.

Radar & AIS Safety

See through fog and darkness. We install solid-state Doppler radar that highlights moving targets in different colors, plus AIS transceivers so you can see and be seen by commercial traffic.

NMEA 2000 Integration

The "Smart Boat" backbone. We network your engine data (Yamaha/Mercury), fuel levels, stereo, and navigation into one system. See your engine RPMs and fuel burn right on your GPS screen.

The Installation Process.

From custom fabrication to sea trial.

01

Helm Design

We assess your current dash layout. If the new screens are larger, we fabricate custom acrylic or Starboard panels to create a flush, factory-finished look.

02

Wiring & Rigging

We run new marine-grade tinned copper wiring, pull transducer cables through the hull, and set up the NMEA backbone, ensuring all connections are heat-shrunk and waterproof.

03

System Config

We update all software to the latest firmware, calibrate the electronic compass for your autopilot, and configure the sonar settings for local waters.

04

Sea Trial

We don't just leave it at the dock. We take the boat out to verify the autopilot holds a straight course and the depth sounder holds bottom at cruising speed.

Brands We Install.

Professional integration for top manufacturers.

Technical Capabilities.

Advanced marine networking.

Networking NMEA 2000 / 0183 / Ethernet
Sonar Types CHIRP, SideScan, LiveScope
Autopilot Hydraulic & Cable Steer

Common Questions

Can I link my engine to the GPS?

Yes, if your engine (Yamaha, Mercury, etc.) supports NMEA 2000 output. We can install the gateway interface so your engine vitals appear directly on your chartplotter screen.

Will the new screen fit my old hole?

Rarely perfectly. That's why we make custom dash panels: a black acrylic "backing plate" covers the old holes, and the new electronics flush-mount in it.

Working With a Professional Marine Electronics Installer

A professional marine electronics installer does more than mount a screen. Every boat electronics installation we do covers the helm layout, marine-grade tinned copper wiring, the NMEA backbone, firmware updates and a sea trial. For a Garmin marine electronics installation, or a Simrad or Raymarine package, we also calibrate the electronic boat compass so the autopilot holds a straight course.

Whether you are planning a complete marine electronics install, a single boat electronic installation such as an AIS transceiver, or marine electronics repair on an existing setup, start by listing the equipment on board and your engine make. Our Long Beach marine electronics work covers Long Beach and Los Angeles, and we can check whether your engine supports NMEA 2000 output and whether a new display will need a custom panel.

Boat radio installation and chartplotter troubleshooting

If you are searching for boat radio installation near me in Long Beach or Los Angeles, we install VHF radios along with chartplotters, radar and autopilots from Garmin, Raymarine and Simrad.

Before assuming a unit needs Garmin chartplotter repair, check the power and ground connections, the NMEA 2000 backbone, the transducer cables and the firmware, since many faults start there rather than inside the display.
