In-Water Diver Hull Cleaning & Zinc Replacement
Glide, Don't Drag.
Protect What's Underneath.
A foul bottom is a slow boat. Our scheduled in-water diver services keep your hull smooth for peak performance and your metals protected from electrolytic corrosion.
The Drag Penalty
Just a thin layer of slime can reduce your top speed by 15% and increase fuel consumption by 20%. Barnacles on the prop act like tiny brakes. A clean hull pays for itself in fuel savings.
Sacrificial Zincs
Electrolysis eats metal underwater. Zinc anodes are designed to corrode *instead* of your expensive bronze propeller and stainless shaft. When they're gone, your running gear is next.
Set & Forget Service
Get on our recurring schedule. We clean your boat every 3-4 weeks (depending on season), monitor your zincs, and send you a digital report with photos so you never have to worry about it.
The Dive Protocol.
Thorough cleaning, from waterline to keel.
Waterline & Hull
We hand-scrub the waterline to remove unsightly growth and use specialized pads to clean the entire hull surface without damaging the bottom paint.
Running Gear
We heavily scrape propellers, shafts, rudders, and trim tabs to remove hard barnacle growth that causes vibration and drag.
Zinc Inspection
We check all anodes (shaft, rudder, trim tab, thruster). If they are over 50% depleted, we replace them on the spot with new Mil-Spec zincs.
Intakes & Thrusters
We clear all through-hull intakes (AC, engine raw water) and clean out bow/stern thruster tunnels to ensure proper operation.
The Underwater Difference.
Visual proof of a job well done.
Service Scope.
We clean every critical underwater surface.
Common Questions
How often do I need cleaning?
In Long Beach harbor, we recommend every 3 weeks during summer (high growth season) and every 4 weeks during winter to maintain peak performance.
Do I need to be present?
No. Our divers are fully insured and autonomous. We complete the service at your slip and email you a detailed service report with photos of zinc conditions.
