About this service
Marine Toilet Repair in Long Beach and San Pedro
We repair marine toilets and the hoses, valves and pumps that serve them, at your slip, dock or storage yard from Marina del Rey to Newport Beach, or at our San Pedro shop. The head, hoses and holding tank work as one system, and a full tank can look like a toilet fault, so we check all of it before we quote a repair.
What the work covers
- Manual heads: stiff pumps, bowls that will not empty and leaks at the base, often from a worn joker valve, O-rings or seals. New wear parts can save replacing the whole toilet.
- Electric toilets: switch, wiring and motor faults, plus macerator pump replacement and troubleshooting.
- Vacuum flush systems: seal and pump service when the vacuum will not hold or the pump cycles on its own.
- Hoses and holding tank: scaled or blocked discharge hoses, tank vents, and holding tank odor control and hose replacement.
Parts are quoted with the job, and we test the system when the repair is done.
Signs it is time to call
- The pump is stiff, or it takes many strokes to clear the bowl
- Waste water creeps back into the bowl after a flush
- The bowl fills up on its own
- An electric toilet hums without flushing, clicks or trips its breaker
- A smell that stays after cleaning, often from old hoses or a blocked tank vent
Questions about marine toilet repair
Why does my boat toilet keep clogging?
Most clogs come from wipes, too much paper or scale that builds up inside the discharge hose. Use toilet paper made for marine systems and keep wipes out of the bowl. A badly scaled hose is often easier to replace than to clear.
Why does the bowl fill up on its own?
On a head that sits near or below the waterline, seawater can siphon in through the intake when the vented loop is blocked or a valve is worn. Close the intake seacock when you leave the boat and call us, because a bowl that keeps filling can overflow into the boat.
Book a visit: submit a ticket with the boat, the make and model of the toilet, where the boat is kept and what you are seeing, or call (213) 693-0224.
