Macerator Pump Replacement & Troubleshooting
The Dirty Work,
Done Right.
A broken macerator pump is a crisis you don't want to handle. We provide fast, sanitary replacement services to get your holding tank empty and your boat odorless.
The "Hum" of Death
If you press the switch and hear a hum but nothing moves, your impeller is jammed or the motor is seized. Don't keep pressing it—you'll burn the wiring.
Clean Extraction
We use containment methods and heavy-duty absorbent pads to ensure that when we disconnect the pump, your bilge stays clean and odor-free.
Anti-Clog Tech
We install modern pumps (like the Jabsco 18590 series) with run-dry protection and stronger chopper blades to handle tougher waste without jamming.
Replacement Protocol.
Sanitary, swift, and professional.
Contain
We prep the area with absorbent mats and vapor barriers to catch any residual fluid in the lines.
Extract
We electrically disconnect the seized pump and carefully unclamp the sanitation hoses, capping them immediately.
Install
We mount the new unit, ensuring double-clamped connections on all hose fittings for a leak-proof seal.
Flush
We run clean water through the system to prime the pump and verify flow to the overboard discharge or deck plate.
System Integrity.
Keeping the bad stuff where it belongs.
Hardware We Trust.
We use industry-standard components for reliability.
Common Questions
Can I un-jam it myself?
Some pumps have a rear slot for a screwdriver to manually turn the shaft. If that doesn't work, the pump usually needs removal. It is a messy job best left to pros.
Why did it fail?
The #1 cause is running the pump dry (burning the impeller) or flushing non-biodegradable items like wet wipes, which bind the chopper blade.
