The "Rag Test"
How do you know if your hoses are bad? Rub a clean, damp rag along the outside of the sanitation hose. If the rag smells like waste, the hose is permeated and must be replaced.
Odor-Proof Tech
We upgrade your plumbing to Trident 101/102 or Shields Poly-X hose. These use high-density rubber compounds that are guaranteed to block odors for 10+ years.
Ventilation & Filters
Good bacteria need oxygen. We unblock clogged tank vents and install inline activated charcoal filters to ensure the air leaving your tank smells neutral.

Audit
We inspect the entire run of the discharge hose and the tank vent line, performing the rag test to confirm permeation.
Extraction
We cap and remove the old, stiff hoses. This is the hardest part, often requiring cutting through bulkheads where hoses are seized.

We install new premium sanitation hose. Because it is thick and stiff, we use heat and lubricant to route it properly without kinks.

Common Questions
Can't I just pour chemicals in?
Chemicals treat the liquid inside, but they cannot fix permeation. If the smell is in the rubber of the hose walls, no chemical will remove it. Replacement is the only cure.
How long do hoses last?
Standard white vinyl hoses often permeate in 3-5 years. The premium black rubber hoses we install typically last 10-15 years without odor issues.
