Engine Overheating Diagnosis & Cooling System Flush
Keep Your
Engine Cool.
Overheating is the fastest way to destroy a marine engine. We diagnose flow restrictions and flush out the "invisible" enemies—salt and scale.
The Silent Blockage
Even if your impeller is new, salt crystals and calcium scale build up inside your heat exchanger tubes, insulating them and preventing proper cooling.
Barnacle Buster Flush
We perform a specialized descaling flush using biodegradable solutions (Barnacle Buster) recirculated through your engine to dissolve growth without harming seals.
Thermal Imaging
We don't guess where the hot spot is. We use industrial infrared thermal guns to pinpoint exactly which cylinder or manifold is running hot.
Diagnostic Protocol.
From detection to flow restoration.
Scan
We run the engine under load and use IR guns to map temperature variances across the block and manifolds.
Inspect
We check the "easy" items first: sea strainers for air leaks and the raw water impeller for missing vanes.
Flush
If flow is restricted, we set up a recirculation loop with descaling fluid for 2-4 hours to dissolve internal calcium.
Verify
We re-test the engine, verifying that operating temperatures have returned to the 160°F - 175°F factory range.
Restored Flow.
Lower temps mean longer engine life.
Safe Chemistry.
We use proven solutions compatible with marine metals.
Common Questions
Is it just a bad thermostat?
It's possible, but in saltwater, it's more often scale buildup. A thermostat change won't fix clogged heat exchanger tubes.
Will the chemical hurt my engine?
No. We use specific marine-grade descalers designed to eat calcium and marine growth while being safe for copper, bronze, and rubber seals.
